All regular clubs and programs continue as usual however we ask all members to strictly follow the rules below for the safety of all.
You do not have to sacrifice your badminton game enjoyment. In fact take advantage of the situation to improve your game.
The following applies with immediate effect.
Limits per court is strictly 4 – 6 .
The total maximum number at any time at the center 52 – 78 (13 courts if fully booked)
Anyone extra to be allowed will be at the discretion of management due to the restriction of Govt to be less than 100
kindly maintain a 2 m distance from everyone as much as possible.(minimum arm and Racquet length)
Only actual players are allowed to enter and no spectators at all.
gatherings before and after games are strictly not allowed anywhere including car parks.
All players to be outside the car park within 15 minutes after the booking.
Shower facilities to be used only during off peak times when the center is not busy.
Strictly do not leave anything on the courts(tissues, rubbish, towels, cloths, ..)
All items left behind will be discarded. No “lost & found property” box maintained.
Anyone not following the rules strictly will be banned and the lighting/club membership account put on hold until the corona pandemic is over
Though all pro-shop services are available we recommend the following to minimize the need to deal with staff
Do all the account top up online.
Do all casual court booking online or over the phone with credit card.
Bring your own water bottles or buy drinks instead of using the common water taps.
Do all enrollment and renewals online.
Minimize cash dealings and EFPOS . You can open free account or use your lighting card account to pay for your purchases at the pro-shop or club visitor payments.
On the positive side in the context of Corona pandemic all the restrictions and the extra precautions can help you improve the badminton game and skills significantly. Badminton game can keep the corona away too.
1. Play more and keep fit. This will improve your immune system to fight against virus.
2. Wash your hands and the Racquet grip regularly: This will provide better grip to the game and improve your shots
3. No handshake but other gestures with eye contact and smile. Generally all players are more comfortable with this and better respect than a formal handshake.
4. Do not come or play when feeling tired or sick: This will protect you from all injuries and all your games will be of good quality.
5.Have your own water bottle: You will be hydrated always and best for the game.
6.Keep the partner 1 – 2 m away: Best practice at game always for better court coverage and partners moving in opposite direction is the best movement strategy in doubles game. More stretch and reach out to shuttles. Gives you better footwork
7. Minimize talks with partner : Best approach to have a better doubles partnership.
8. Limited numbers: Play more singles and self training alone which will improve the game hugely.
9. Do not gather or hang around after game: More time for warm up, cool down and no gossips. Your family will have you more time at home!
10. Do more online transactions: No time wastage or waiting at pro-shop. more play/training time.
Even if there is no Corona or COVID – 19 taking these precautions will make you a better badminton player!!
