Since there is foot-traffic of over 300 children weekly, this facility is required to strictly make it smoke & alcohol free at all times.
This is in line with the Smoke-free environment Act 1990 for schools, childcare & children education centers legislation
Signs have been setup from Health promotion agencies in line with ministry of Health.
We join and support the mission of “Smoke-free 2025 goal for New Zealand” by Ministry of health .
Therefore Smoking and Alcohol is prohibited in the whole premises of NZ Badminton Centre including the whole car parks and lawn areas within the boundary fence.
We understand this will cause inconvenience to some people however for the health of the community and specially
the children we kindly ask everyone to corporate with the regulations.
Car parks and most areas have got fully recorded video surveillance. Anyone found to be smoking, drinking in the car parks and littering with cigarette butts or empty bottles in the car park will be banned from using the facility.
