Last week of Works underway
All works have been completed and final touch up works are underway which will take 1 week. Auckland council has already approved and provided certificate for public use.
The new courts should be available for online booking from 21st Aug Monday. The online booking system will be enabled to make booking anytime from now.
The court numbers have changed in view of the total 22 courts configuration . Please get familiar with the new location of courts as per the map above.
The new courts area is named Badminton Grey and courts are numbered From Court 17 – Court 25.
The cost of new courts are same as the existing courts
New courts configuration
Floor: Timber floor plus 6mm international standard special rubber mat with cushion, blue color.
Background wall: Grey color giving best visibility for shuttle cocks
Lighting: 10 LED lights per court
Ceiling height: Higher than the existing green courts.
Entrance: From Badminton Green arena via staircase and walkway balcony.
Other: Separate bathrooms/changing rooms, Spectator viewing balcony, PA system, CCTVs,
