Our facility is open as per Level 2 guidelines of “play it safe”
Welcome back to badminton at Level 2 with more rules relaxed.
Please keep checking this page or call to clarify things as we are “making up rules” & changing things on a daily basis to improve/meet all requirements. Our aim is to keep everyone safe and make it easy for players to enjoy a good game.
Entry to Facility
- At present, only club members, private card holders and their players (who have applied and got special access codes) can have free entry. Further information on codes can be found below.
- Any casual player can walk in for a casual booking but can only play during centre staffed hours (9AM – 10PM daily).
- There is no option for random walk-in players to join any playing groups or spectators to have free entry.
- Card holders can only invite registered players unless they have pre-arranged with the proshop to have unregistered players gain entry.
**All visitors to clubs, casual court bookings, and anyone else accessing courts via the proshop, must come with a Personal QR Code on mobile/paper** How to Get your personal QR Image
What to do in Summary?

Senior/Midweek club members :
Walk in with QR code and enter club check-in code. This will give you direct access instantly avoiding all queues. -
Private Card Holder:
Send an email to admin@badmintonnz.co.nz to register all your players.
Next get yourself & your players to apply and get individual CAP codes and a 5 digit group code.
You can apply for the code with the following link – CAP code application this link is available on the top of the home page (yellow link).
Everyone must Self-check-in on arrival with their respective codes. How to do that???
Strictly ensure you have the correct maximum number of players on court in relation to your membership. All players must have authorized entry. -
Regular Players Invited by Card Holder
Make sure your account holder has registered your name with their account.
Apply and get a CAP code (2 minutes to apply online, code provided same or next business day if filled out properly).
Make sure you walk in with your QR code which has your CAP code next to the surname.(eg: Peter Smith RP287)
Enter the 5 digit group code(provided by your account holder) and self check-in on arrival (5 sec process) avoiding all queues. -
Unregistered Players Invited by Card Holders
You can only enter when the proshop is open and staff is available.
Make sure the account holder has pre-arranged your arrival with staff and you know what court and the time.
Walk in with personal QR code, get scanned, Pay $2 and gain a one off entry.
**Court lights will be switched off remotely and personal lighting accounts will be suspended until Level One
if you or your players have unauthorized entry**
All normal sessions have restarted from Thursday the 14th May 2020.
Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday 9 AM Midweek senior session. Visitors $5
All junior sessions continue as per timetable schedule. No visitors allowed.
Senior night sessions all 7 days 7 – 10PM. Visitors $10
Court bookings are open for individual and group accounts.
Children under 16 are not allowed to be inside without their parents for casual bookings.
How do we compensate the lost 7 weeks to members?
All senior/midweek club members have lost 7 weeks of play over lockdown. Each membership has been extended a further 2 months.
Court membership holders need to send an email to admin@badmintonnz.co.nz to request a 2 months free extension. Please send this email from the one attached to your Card Holder account. The last date for extension requests is June 12th.
Junior clubs have lost 5 weeks so they are provided extra make up sessions until the end of the current term.
Parents must contact the office and choose from the available sessions for the make up ones.
What is CAP Code
Its a code assigned to players to have free access without going through staff or waiting in a queue.
Members of any NZBC clubs, light account holders and the regular players registered by light account holders can get a code.

You will be able to access the facility in two ways:
- Free entry / Self check-in to CAP (Covid Approved Player) code holders
- Staff assisted entry via pro-shop to ensure registration and safe practices are carried out.
There is payment of $2 required for those without CAP codes.a. Show your QR image(sample given below) on your phone or printed out for staff to scan.
b. Manually write your details in the register (Only available for a short time until everyone is ready for check- in via mobile/QR code).
Those who don’t have a mobile or find it difficult to find the QR image, can get it printed at the office for FREE or at home.
