Changes to Court booking system, Rules and policies
Over the Next 2 months there will be significant changes to the booking system, membership types, policies and rates and charges. This has been necessary in order to improve the current booking system which proved to be having numerous bugs and shortcomings. Further, some of the guidelines are being changed in order to provide more equal opportunity for players to secure courts.
Therefore a new court booking system is expected to be operational from 1st April 2025 which requires a significant amount of changes in booking and membership policies.
The current memberships will be transferred to similar membership together with balance from each account.
Under the new system once its full operational from 1st April 2025
"Pay & play" concept will be adopted in place of the current system which means all bookings are paid as & when used. There will not be a requirement to maintain an account, top up etc.
Membership types will be based on Number of blocks booked rather than number of courts. Each block will be a half an hour slot.
The booking system will be fully cloud based. This may require 1-2 minutes time lag to turn the court lights ON.
Casual bookings via form and payment via e mail confirmation etc will no longer be available and casual players will be able to book directly on the booking system without any staff involved.
Public booking computers (Kiosk) can be used for all the bookings of members and casual visitors for direct booking and payments. Online bookings can be done as usual via desktop computers or mobile phones.
Booking will be extended to 24/7 for approved members and account holders or approved assistants will be required to be on court. Account holders must be present for all after 10PM access.
Cancellation time will be 24hrs as usual initially however there will not be any actual refund provided for eligible cancellations. The system will only provide a voucher which can be used to make another booking within 2 months or the time set by the management.
All members will be able to book up to 6 half an hr blocks at a time as set by the management. This can be on one court or multiple courts depending on their requirements. For eg: 6 blocks can be on 3 courts 1hr each or 1 court 2hr 1 court 1hr or 1 court 3hrs.
All multicourts booking above 4 courts will need to be booked via email through the office in advance. All such bookings will have 1 week cancellation window to be eligible for refund vouchers.
In view of this proposed new system, we would ask members to keep minimum funds required for your booking in your account.
While minimum top up at the center and via paystation remain $100, you will be able to top up any amount lower than $100 via PAYPAL on your court booking page.
