At present we are allowing Entry for Badminton shoes & staff approved Non - Marking shoes only.

Please donot make casual or member booking unless you have secured Badminton Shoes . 

Not "Non marking shoes", Not any indoor shoes, Not any indoor shoes used for basket ball or Vollyball or Gyms. Not any shoes you have used before at the centre .

From 1st May 2025

We ask all players to ensure "Badminton Shoes"  only . Initially for for first timers badminton shoes will be available for FREE. After 1st May it will be strictly

or
Hire badminton Shoes if the right size is available .

The strict monitoring and screening of Badminton footware has become necessary as the foottraffic has significantly increased.  
We have observed serious cosequences of wearing incorrect footware which creates serious Health & Safety issue for all players.
The increased amount of shoes marks white/black have required extensive regular cleaning which causes the badminton floors to become very slippery.
Some of the Non-Marking shoes from other sports like basket ball and vollyball etc with hard soles have been making indent marks and holes in the rubber mats  which becomes another health and safety issue for all players. Some of the non marking shoes were found to be not having any grip at all casuing accidents. These Increased accidents resulting from wearing incorrect and slippery footware on a floor which is gradually losing its grip due to extensive cleaning , is becoming a serious concern.

Further manufacturers and suppliers of the court mats have strictly recommended that these professional badminton mats are designed for use with badminton shoes only.
