25 participants have successfully completed AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and CPR training at our badminton facility.
A huge thank you to the team from Hato Hone St John for delivering a professional, practical, and engaging training session. We also extend our appreciation to everyone who took the time to attend and learn these vital life-saving skills.
The training provided participants with the knowledge and confidence to respond in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest or other medical emergency. Quick action during the first few minutes of an emergency can significantly improve a person's chances of survival.
AED Available On Site
Our facility is equipped with a publicly accessible Automated External Defibrillator (AED) located in a clearly marked cabinet within the venue. The AED is available for use in genuine life-threatening emergencies and is designed to provide clear voice instructions to assist responders.
To ensure the equipment remains ready when needed:
- The AED is housed in an alarmed cabinet to help protect and monitor the device.
- Regular inspections and maintenance checks are carried out.
- Staff are familiar with the AED location and emergency procedures.
- Trained members of our community are now better prepared to assist during an emergency.
Building a Safer Community
This training is part of our ongoing commitment to creating a safe environment for all players, visitors, families, and members of the wider community.
We encourage other clubs, sports organisations, schools, and workplaces to consider AED and CPR training. The skills learned in just a few hours could one day help save a life.
Once again, thank you to Hato Hone St John and all 25 participants for helping make our community a safer place.
Because when every second counts, being prepared can make all the difference.
